How to Order Fence Foot
Measure your fence line, do a little basic math, and you're done. Here's everything you need to know.
Designed Around Standard Fence Spacing
Most chain-link fences are installed with posts spaced 10 feet apart. Fencefoot is engineered to work perfectly with this standard — each section is 5 feet long, so two sections cover one full post span.
Every 10-foot span requires one 1-foot ground connector to anchor the system securely at the base of each fence post. Connectors are also needed wherever your fence turns a corner — one connector per corner. Then use three stakes between posts to keep everything locked in place and mower-safe: one in the middle and one at each end.
What You're Ordering
Fencefoot Section
The main weed barrier that runs along the base of your fence. Two sections cover one standard 10 ft post span.
Ground Connector
Connects sections together and anchors them to the ground at each fence post. Also required at every corner where your fence changes direction. One connector per 10 ft span, plus one for the end post. Be advised there are two different sized posts, one being line posts and the other being end or corner posts, which are larger. Be sure to choose the right sized connectors.
How to Calculate Your Order
Measure your fence line
Measure the total length in feet that you want to protect.
Divide by 5 for 5 foot sections
Take your total fence length and divide by 5. That's how many 5 foot sections you need. Round up to the nearest whole number and add a few for future needs.
Calculate connectors
Count the number of line posts and then count the number of corner and end posts.
Calculate stakes
Automatically calculated. Add one for the end and a few for future needs.
Example Order
Example: 100 ft of fence line, then corner, then 50 feet to end of fence.
It's always a good idea to order 1–2 extra sections in case of cuts or future repairs.
